Originally a large period farmhouse and outbuildings, The Rivenhall Hotel was considerably extended and converted to a hotel in the late 1960’s. Our facilities now include: a modern bar and lounge area; the original oak beamed Wildberry Restaurant; 55 en-suite bedrooms; 7 conference rooms including 2 beautiful banqueting suites and our modern Hi-Life Fitness Centre.

Location
The Rivenhall Hotel is located at the heart of Essex, just off the busy A12 trunk road midway between Chelmsford and Colchester where it bypasses the small town of Witham. Its strategic location means that the hotel is just a 20 minute drive to the M25 and 25 minutes from Stansted Airport. There are fast and frequent rail services to London’s Liverpool Street Station and the hotel has easy links to the Channel Ports and Haven Ports.

Accommodation
The hotel’s 55 en-suite bedrooms each have colour satellite TV, radio, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone. Iron and ironing board also available on request. Wi-Fi is available in the Lounge/Bar area and is FREE to all residents. Hotel guests can enjoy complimentary use of the leisure facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym.

Weddings
The Rivenhall Hotel offers an impressive yet affordable venue and a level of service that will guarantee the smooth running of your special day, making it a most memorable occasion. With various rooms ranging from traditional oak beamed splendour to our light and modern event suite, we can accommodate all tastes and requirements. For couples wishing to reside at the hotel on their wedding night, a Bridal suite is available.

Our beautiful Lincoln Suite or Wildberry Restaurant is a perfect choice for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies up to 80 guests. The Lincoln Suite can also accommodate 40 guests for a sit down wedding breakfast and up to 60 for an evening buffet reception. It is conveniently located within the main hotel next to our stunning bar.

Alternatively our exclusive Courtyard Suite can accommodate up to 150 guests for larger ceremonies. It is situated in a large and beautiful building separate to the main hotel and has its own private bar. It can cater for 100 guests for a sit down wedding breakfast and up to 150 for an evening buffet reception.
