Description

An independent museum covering the history of Mersea Island and the surrounding area, with particular emphasis on the maritime heritage, fishing, oystering, agriculure, village life and local families. The Museum is open from the beginning of May until the end of September, Wednesday to Sunday, 2pm to 5pm. Also Bank Holiday Monday.
The Museum is located in West Mersea village, close to the parish church.
