Description
The Epping Forest District Museum tells the story of the people who have lived and worked in this part of south Essex from the earliest inhabitants to the present.
Based in historic Waltham Abbey, in a building dating back to 1520, the Museum offers something for all the family, with plenty of gallery trails and hands on activities for children.
Admission to the Museum is FREE!
Schools and group bookings can be made outside of opening times for which a charge is made.
Wheelchair access is limited to the ground floor galleries. The Museum has a disabled access toilet and baby changing area.
The Museum shop contains a range of well-priced books, gifts and souvenirs for all ages and pockets. Free internet access is also available.
