Visit Marks Hall for a Winning Summer

Visitors to Marks Hall Gardens and Arboretum have until the end of August to turn their visit into a winning event by entering the Marks Hall Photography Competition.

Entrants can be in either under or over 16 groups and the photographs in the categories Flora and Fauna, Landscape and Colour, and, of course the photographs must be taken at Marks Hall between May and August this year.

Prizes include a hamper of goods from Blackwells Farm Shop for the overall winner, as well as places on a photography workshop run by Bryan Shaw and Family Membership at Marks Hall for the over 16 category and book tokens for the under 16’s.

Full details and an entry form are available at Marks Hall and online at www.markshall.org.uk

Another good reason to visit Marks Hall during August is that it is Summer Salad Month on the lunch time menu. Each day there will be a choice of traditional salads as well as something new and different, featuring ingredients such as marinated chicken, exotic leaves and spicy dressings. The price, which will include accompanying bread or roll, is only £6.25.

The Gardens, Woodland Walks and Visitor Centre at Marks Hall are open from Tuesday through to Sunday from 10.30am to 5.00pm and on Bank Holiday Monday. Admission is £4 for adults, £3.50 for concessions and £1 for children from 5 to 16 (under 5’s free), with Family Tickets at £8.00. For more information please visit www.markshall.org.uk or call 01376 563796.

We look forward to seeing you soon…
