Casino Fundraising Night for St Helena Hospice
Once again St Helena Hospice is proud to be hosting their successful Casino Night at Weston Homes Community Stadium on Friday 16th March 2012.
Starting at 7.30pm, the popular black tie evening offers the chance to take part in a number of exciting games including Blackjack, Roulette and Poker.
The £25 ticket price includes £10 worth of gaming chips and a tasty hot supper. There will of course be the opportunity to buy more chips on the night with fabulous prizes up for grabs in a play-off between the top six chip earners of the evening.

The first full concert by The BIG Sing Community Choir.
Starting in Witham in June 2011, the choir challenged the community to unite in song. Within nine months they had over 80 members singing not just in Witham, but also in Maldon and Swanley. The Anniversary - Headgate Theatre
The Headgate are celebrating their tenth anniversary and have asked guest award winning director Christine Davidson to produce the black comedy The Anniversary from Wed 30th May to Sat 2nd June at 7.45pm. Christine has just won the best drama with NODA East District 8 for her production of She Stoops to Conquer which was on at The Old Court Theatre for Chelmsford Theatre Workshop last June. It also finished in the last 12 out of hundreds of other companies for best production with Sky Arts and only lost out by 50 votes. It was also nominated for best production with Panic Awards a few weeks ago. Other awards were nomination for My Cousin Rachel which was this years NODA (National Operatic Dramatic Association) joint runner up for best drama and in 2009 received the award for best drama and best production for the amateur premiere of Kind Hearts and Coronets. She is really happy to be directing at The Headgate which is such a lovely theatre. She has a great cast including two professional actors in the show; Jeremy Battersby as Henry and Belinda Belt playing the wonderful role of Mum.
Info on the show: Meet the mother from hell in this gloriously black comedy set during the annual wedding anniversary celebrations even though her husband has long since died. She controls her three sons, who find different ways to escape her dominance, but this year, things start to unravel and the tables begin to turn.
The play was first performed in 1966, and made into a film with Bette Davis and Sheila Hancock in 1968. Miss Hancock took over the role of mother in the West End in 1995.
