The Loughton Festival volunteers have been hard at work planning a six-week festival of events, walks and talks next spring.

We always require volunteers in March and April. Can you help at one or more of our events?
We will be raising money for
Haven House Children's Hospice at most of our events next year, so if you receive any unwanted presents over Christmas please consider donating them to one of our raffles for Haven House.
FUNDING NEWSAs you may have read in the
Epping Forest Guardian, our usual grant provider has turned down our grant application.
We are appealing for businesses to come forward to sponsor an event, or two.
Our main sponsor is
Haslers, who provide us with our wonderful programmes each year. They will be available at the end of February and if you can help deliver them, we would love to hear from you.
In 2012, the Loughton Club will be donating the use of its main hall so we can hold two fundraising events for Haven House on the 14th and 21st April.
As a result, we are now looking for
dance, health, gardening, and fitness businesses to hire a display space, take out a stall and perhaps put on a demonstration too.
GARDENING EVENTSDespite our lack of funding, we are planning to slip over the border into
Buckhurst Hill next year with our gardening events.
We are holding three: our gardening event at the Loughton Club, a Front Garden Competition in Loughton and Buckhurst Hill, and a Gardening Question Time event in partnership with the Buckhurst Hill Horticultural Society. All of the events will be part of the
RHS National Gardening Week and details will appear on their website in due course.
There are so many other events to look forward to next spring, from Meet the Author events to a six-week class, three concerts, and so on. Don’t forget, we do need you to turn up and buy a ticket or two, otherwise how will we pay our bills?
We want to hold an art exhibition but cannot find a venue; any ideas?
We are also trying to organise a World War One Day School on either the 17th or 31st April, which will be led by two well-published academic authors; however, we cannot find a venue that we can afford. Can you suggest a venue? It would need to be quiet, with full blackout for slides, fully accessible and affordable, with tea making facilities and parking.
We are appealing for sponsorship for this event. Interested? Please let me know right away.More information regarding sponsoring an event can be found by
