Chimneys is a delightful 17th Century house situated in the heart of the historical Norman village of Stansted Mountfitchet.

Stansted is a quiet friendly village with beautiful architecture, traditional village shops and has a great choice of restaurants.

We have just four guest rooms (2 doubles, 1 twin and 1 single) all of which have ensuite shower rooms. Our accommodation has been awarded 4 Stars by Visit Britain with a Silver Award for quality and customer care.

Breakfast is available from 6.30am through until 9.30am every morning, and for those guests departing before this time we are happy to arrange a continental breakfast selection for guests to help themselves to. We aim to use fresh local produce and Fair Trade products wherever possible.

We are less than 10 minutes by car from Stansted Airport, 5 minutes from Stansted's Long Stay Car Park and just a few minutes walk from Stansted Mountfitchet railway station. Easy access to the M11, London, Cambridge and Newmarket.

In the evening a short walk will take you to numerous local restaurants and inns, including the Cock Inn serving traditional home-made meals, three very good Indian Restaurants, a Chinese, Bada Bing Italian Restaurant, Monty's Bar, The Dog & Duck Pub and several take-aways.
