Did you know that despite our best intentions, most New Years Resolutions don't last beyond January 31st?
If you want 2012 to be the year that you become fitter and healthier, that you take on a new challenge, and make a real difference then join us on Saturday 11th February, at Little Havens Children's Hospice (Thundersley) for our... CHALLENGE EVENTS OPEN DAY.
Make this year the year that you keep your new year's resolutions. At this free event you will:
• Find out more about all of our challenge events available in 2012/13, including; UK & Overseas Cycling challenges; Skydives; Trekking Peru China and the Sahara; Running events; and climbing mountains in the UK and abroad
• Get free training and nutrition advice from experts and test your fitness levels
• Learn more about fundraising - what works (and what doesn't)
• Plus there will be lots of activities, refreshments and giveaways!
From Skydiving to Snowshoeing in Sweden, we have an event for everyone!
This open day is free of charge to attend, and visitors are welcome to drop-in at any time throughout the day.

St Clare Hospice 10k Run
Run 10k for your local hospice on Sunday 1st April 2012.
This 10k road race starts and finishes at the hospice in Hastingwood and is affiliated with UK Athletics. Sprint round in less than 35 minutes with local club runners or jog round with our fun runners, this run really is for everyone! There are medals for all finishers and a BBQ, refreshments and entertainment for spectators. There will also be a prize giving ceremony for the fastest runners. Your must be aged 15 years or over to take part. Entry costs £12 (or £10 for affiliated runners).

Phil Packer MBE - The BRIT 2012 Challenge
You are invited to join Phil Packer MBE as he walks 10 miles around our campus and along the river bank. Phil is asking the British public to join him on one of his walks and, if you wish, raise some money for charity. Phil will be walking our 'Trim Trail' route and completing this circuit at least six times. You are invited to join him for as little or as much of the walk as you wish. The walk will start outside our Postgraduate Medical Institute.

To celebrate the Queens Jubilee and of course raise vital funds for Havens Hospices a run on the Thames Estuary mud alongside the Boom, which played a vital role in protecting our coast during World War 2. There will also be a beach style 'street' party and lots of other attractions to celebrate all things British. Join us for this unique event and a great day at the beach. Little Haven's Track Day
Calling all petrol heads! Join us on the 18th September for the Little Havens Track Day event, which will be held at Ford Dunton Technical Centre in Laindon, Essex, and is expected to attract 4,000 visitors.
Guests are invited to ride in a super car around the banked text track with over 50 super cars offering rides to members of the public.
Alongside the track event, there will be activities for all the family, including a classic / interesting / unique car and motorbike display - plus activities for all the family including a climbing wall, go karts, driving simulators and a childrens fairground.

Canvey Island FC Golf Day
A golf day has been arranged for Thursday 27th October to be held at Lords Golf & Country Club in Rayleigh. 8.30am meet for a 9.00am tee off. The cost for the day is £45.00, for which you will receive tea, coffee and bacons rolls before tee off, 18 holes of golf, and ham, egg and chips afterwards. There will be nearest the pins and longest drive competitions, and also a wooden spoon! This should be a fantastic day for all involved, and will of course raise money for Canvey Island FC!

Festive Fun Run for Local Hospice care!
On Sunday 11th December why not take part in the St Clare Hospice Santa Fun Run starting in Harlow Town Park at 11am? Not only will you have a great family time; with your free Santa suit on you’ll look the part!
The 4km route takes you through the park, around the boundary before returning to cheers from the crowd. Last year we had over 200 Santa’s take part; of all ages and abilities, raising £7,300 for St Clare Hospice, which provides free of charge support to hundreds of local people each year. We would love to see 300 Santa’s taking part this year raising £10,000 which would fund our entire Inpatient Unit for 57 hours over the festive period. Help us support local families this Christmas by taking part in our Santa Fun Run.
Children receive a free Santa hat when they sign up and adults get a full Santa suit. There’s pre-start stalls, refreshments and entertainment including a festive warm up, sure to get you in the mood and off to a flying start.
