Established in 1985 and one of the first companies to bring paintballing to this country is Skirmish Paintball Games, situated at Billericay just off the M25 at junction 29. Skirmish can accommodate up to 200 participants and offer games for children of 8 years and above. As well as corporate events they also cater for stag parties.

Frock Stock and Barrel clay pigeon shooting, run by Tracy Meston, a qualified CPSA Advanced Clay Pigeon Shooting Coach offer lessons on English Sporting (ESP), Skeet (ESK), and trap shooting home disciplines such as; Down The Line (DTL) and Automatic Ball Trap (ABT). Starter lessons are available on International trap disciplines such as; Olympic Trap (OT), Double Trap (DT) and Universal Trench (UT). If you need a little help finding the target, Frock Stock and Barrel could be your perfect port of call.

Should you wish to try your hand at wild game Shooting in Essex, set in 2000 acres of countryside is The Braxted Park Shoot. They offer overnight accommodation with prices including a day’s mixed partridge and pheasant shoot and birds to take away for the table.

Using a range built for the Territorial Army in the mid-1930s, Roding Rifle and Pistol Club shoot Air Rifle, Air Pistol and Miniature .22lr disciplines. No game here, just target shoot to international standards. New members are welcomed here on Tuesday nights.
