Welcome to Dairy House Farm Bed & Breakfast

Dairy House is a 700 acre arable and fruit farm. The house is set in the middle with views of the countryside in every direction. The farmhouse was extended in 1876 into a wonderfully spacious home with large rooms and many typical Victorian ornamentations.

The kettle is always on the boil and there is tea with homemade cakes on arrival and homemade preserves on the breakfast table.

The two ensuite bedrooms are warm and spacious and each has a colour television with remote control and also a drinks tray with an array of teas, coffee and hot chocolate on offer. Fresh flowers, bathrobes, clock radios and comfortable chairs are also in the rooms as well as other little extras to make your stay as"home from home" as possible.

Although the house has a completely rural setting, it is just a twenty minute stroll to an excellent pub and shop in the village of Bradfield. We are also just one hour by train to London (Liverpool Street) from Manningtree station (5 miles from here).

Dairy House has a cosy guests' sitting room with colour television and a cupboard full of games, as well as a large garden which visitors are welcome to relax in.

Guests are welcome to borrow detailed maps of the surrounding area during their stay.

Dairy House is an ideal stepping stone to the Continent via the Harwich (Parkeston Quay) ferries, or a comfortable base for touring Essex and Suffolk. There are many places of interest to visit during your stay and we have lots of tourist information for our guests to browse through.

There are lots of excellent eating places, both restaurants (Italian, Chinese, Indian and English) and pubs within a 15 minute drive of Dairy House and we have sample menus of most of them for our guests to look at. We are always happy to recommend, and to book for you in advance if you would like us to, or can find you their telephone numbers for you to call them if you have any particular requests.

We are able to provide long term parking (for those going on cruises etc. from Harwich) £2 per day.

We are now able to offer WiFi in all our rooms for our guests' convenience.

A Full English Breakfast is usually served, but Continental breakfast is also available, or have a mixture of the two!

Tea/coffee trays are in the bedrooms, as well as remote control television, clock radio and a hairdryer. Ironing facilities are always available on request.
