In October 2005 Redwings merged with the Ada Cole Memorial Stables in Essex, a rescue centre established in memory of an amazing lady who campaigned for animal welfare. You can meet more than 50 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules at the site - some are permanent residents while others are looking for loving homes through the charity’s Guardianship Scheme.
The Ada Cole centre is also the permanent home of nine gorgeous adoption equines Boo, Choccy, Dolly, Finnegan, Harry, Katy, Louie, Misfit and Rhadlon. They can’t wait to meet you!
At our Ada Cole centre there are walking tours and horse care demos as well as a gift shop and information centre on site where you can adopt a pony, buy gifts or find out more about the horsey residents and the charity's welfare work.
We also serve light refreshments including hot drinks and delicious cakes!
The centre is fully accessible to wheelchair users, with a concrete pathway through the middle of the site. There is a fully accessible WC and plenty of onsite parking.
