This picturesque premises set deep in the heart of stunning Essex countryside (yet only ten minutes from the M11 Harlow turnoff) provides an oasis of tranquillity, where you can escape from the normal hustle and bustle of daily activities. Steeped in history, we provide family friendly facilities for the casual and sophisticated diner, those who want a snack in the bar or just a drink.

There are areas available for private hire and probably the best smoking terrace in Essex, all offered by our competent friendly staff in the setting of an atmospheric country inn.

In addition to the facilities described above there is a children's play area and the younger members of the community are very welcome in our establishment.

There are no fewer than four separate areas where it is possible to dine at the White Hart Inn. When our British climate permits, there is the sunny umbrella covered area at the front, inside to the left is the main restaurant, to the right is the area known as "the Snug", and at the rear, the Terrace.

Whether you are a large party or just looking for a romantic meal for two, the White Hart Inn provides a wide ranging menu that stretches from the sophisticated to a good old fashioned snack in the bar.

The White Hart Inn is a wonderful base in beautiful surroundings for a wide range of local activities, there are magnificent walks and historical sites to enjoy, horse riding, biking and much more.
