The White Hart Inn Margaretting Tye is a multi award-winning pub surrounded by beautiful countryside. The pub sits proudly on the village green, with fantastic beer gardens and a beautiful exterior, which reflects its historical heritage. It is very popular with walkers being part of St Peters Way.

Liz the owner and her team are passionate about real ales and delicious traditional food. The freshly beer battered haddock, steak and ale pie, and the Sunday roasts are of particular note. After just one visit, you'll understand why the pub was named 'Local CAMRA Pub of The Year' in 2007 and 2008, and was runner-up in 2009-10. It has also won the 'Best Food Pub' 2009 award. However most recently they have won the prestigious Essex Life Fine Food & Drink Award for the Best Real Pub in Essex 2011/12.

The White Hart is also famous for its Summer Beer Festival held in a huge Marquee with 60 plus Ales to try. This is usually held in July with live music, champagne & pimms tent and an amazingly good BBQ. A much smaller festival is held during the winter inside the pub.
