Welcome to Coastalfoods - The Essex Based Cookery Workshop

Coastalfoods was started by Bryan & Jo Beattie, in September 2005. After selling our restaurant in Frinton on Sea we decided to make our own handmade "deli" products and sell at local Farmers Markets.
Due to their popularity, we have now opened the Cookery Workshop where we are making quality food products using local/regional and seasonal ingredients as much as possible.
As well as producing our own foods for you to sample and enjoy.
We are also providing you an opportunity to come along to our Cookery Workshop classes and demonstrations to enhance your culinary skills and make preparing food fun.

About us
We both have many years of experience…. as well as having owned a successful restaurant, Bryan was a lecturer in Professional Cookery and Jo lectured in Front of House and Hotel Management.
We are passionate about food and always happy to share our skills and knowledge with anyone who asks. So, we are providing you an opportunity to come along to our cookery workshops or demonstrations to enhance your culinary skills and make preparing food fun!

Deli Counter/Coffee Shop
Open Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 5pm
We serve freshly ground "IZZO" Italian coffee with our freshly baked biscuits.We make fresh handmade products using local /regional ingredients as much as the seasons allow. To read more about our Deli counter/coffee shop please visit our website via the link.

Fresh Homemade Produce
At Coastalfoods, we produce a selection of the finest homemade ingredients. As well as our fresh Pesto, Dressings, Red Onion & Chilli Marmalade we will be selling our own home produced products using local and seasonal ingredients wherever possible on a daily basis. Please take time to view some of them in more detail...
Each week we shall be promoting another local producer's products as well as selling specialist cookery equipment to compliment our cookery workshops.
Coastalfoods' products; Pesto, Tapenade, Dressings, Red Onion & Chilli Marmalade and Herb Butters are also sold at: Teybrook Organic Farm shop, Gt Tey, Colchester, Greenstead Green Farm Shop, Halstead, Wrights Butchers Frinton-On-Sea, Ross and Wheatley Greengrocers , Clacton on Sea, Maclauclans Fruit Farm Boxted, Colchester.

Coastalfoods have been Awarded a Gold star for our French Dressing in the Guild of Fine Foods Great Tastes Awards 2008.
The French dressing can be purchased from us at The Cookery Workshop or at selected Farmshops.
