Tuesday 6th to Saturday 10th September 201125th Chappel Beer FestivalThe Famous Chappel Beer Festival returns for the twenty-fifth year at Chappel in September 2011, jointly organised by the East Anglian Railway Museum and our friends from the Campaign for Real Ale.
Over 400 beers will be available, with beers from small local breweries and rare beers not normally available in Essex. Real Ciders, Soft Drinks and Hot & Cold Food will also be available.
This event is operated as a fundraising activity for EARM by CAMRALive Music on Friday and Saturday!

- DECEMBER -Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th December 2011Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival 2011Christmas is coming to Brightlingsea from 10am to 6pm on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th December 2011 with the magical annual Christmas Tree Festival held in the ancient hilltop church at the entrance to Brightlingsea, near Colchester in Essex.
The sight of over 100 Christmas trees decorated with sparkling lights, baubles and bows puts the crowds in a festive mood and adds an extra fizz to this enchanting time of year.
Sightseers vote for their favourite tree, browse the Christmas Shop and Dave’s Pantry and listen to live Christmas music. Over 110 volunteers bake homemade cakes for people to enjoy in the magical atmosphere of this ancient hilltop ‘Mariners’ church.
A Park and Ride shuttle bus stops at the town centre and the Colne School between 10am & 5.15pm.
Entrance is £3 for Adults, £2.50 for Concessions & Children under 16 are Free!
