Sunday 16th October 2016
We are Handmade Contemporary Christmas Craft and Design Fair
This Fair is an 'early bird' Christmas Craft & Design Fair featuring 40 makers and artists selling the latest in contemporary and vintage inspired items. This will be the ideal place for shoppers to find those special gifts for loved ones this Christmas, with opportunities to discuss commissioned pieces with the stallholders.
This event showcases quality handmade crafts, with stallholders selling a range of items to suit all pockets. Stallholders include Jewellery designer, Hawkwood Creations; Gail's Glass; photographer MJB Images and Cathy Russell, who will be demonstrating the art of quilling. A full list of makers will be on our website nearer the event date.
Visitors can enjoy light refreshments in the beautiful Lounge and Bar area of Greenwoods Hotel.
Time: 10am to 4pm

Saturday 5th November 2016
We are Handmade Contemporary Christmas Craft and Design Fair
This Fair will feature over 30 makers and artists selling the latest in contemporary and vintage inspired items. This will be the ideal place for shoppers to find those special gifts for loved ones this Christmas, with opportunities to discuss commissioned pieces with the stallholders.
This event showcases quality handmade crafts, with makes selling a range of items to suit all pockets. Makers include Capricorn Crafts, makers of wooden toys and gifts; Honeybee Natural Beauty; The Mad Owl Company; Peter Deans Ceramics and HKT Jewellery. In addition to selling their work, you can also see Cathy Russell, a member of The Guild of Essex Craftsmen, demonstrating the art of quilling while Toni Peers of Curly-Girly Crafts will also be doing craft demonstrations.
Truly Scrumptious will be running the tearoom so visitors can sit down and enjoy some delicious homemade cakes with a cup of tea.

We are Handmade Contemporary Christmas Craft and Design Fair
This Christmas Fair will feature over 30 makers selling the latest in contemporary and vintage inspired handmade crafts. A relaxed environment for shoppers to find those special gifts for loved ones this Christmas.
Makers will be showcasing the latest in contemporary and vintage inspired handmade items, including jewellery, clothes, bags, pottery, soaps, cards, soft furnishings, home & garden-wares and much more.

Potter, Linda Luckin, will be demonstrating and chatting about her work as a studio potter. We are also looking at holding other demonstrations on the day.
Visitors can sit down and enjoy some delicious homemade cakes with a cup of tea, all served in lovely vintage style crockery, courtesy of Plum Fairy who will be running the tearoom.

Santa Run
From Lapland to London - Skyline and Essex Air Ambulance are set to bring thousands of Father Christmas's to the capital in the annual Charity Santa Run. Over 3,500 Santa's from up and down the country will descend on Victoria Park, London on Sunday 6th December in a Christmas mission to raise in excess of £400,000 for hundreds of UK charities, including Essex Air Ambulance. Now the Essex Air Ambulance is appealing to Essex residents to tackle the 5km and 10km courses to help keep the local Air Ambulance flying and delivering its highly skilled Pre-hospital Care Doctors and Critical Care Paramedics to provide advanced clinical care to the most critically ill and injured patients. Everyone who takes part for Essex Air Ambulance will receive a free costume to bring a flash of red and Christmas cheer to Victoria Park, London.
Admission: £22, which includes your free Santa suit!

Workshop: Making Christmas Greenery
Enjoy a festive evening making a Christmas greenery display or wreath for your home. Ticket price includes lots of fresh holly, ivy and pine cones (and an oasis base) for you to create your own green delight.

Haven House Christmas Concert
A lovely afternoon of Christmas Carols and lots of festivity in aid of Haven House Children's Hospice.
There will be beautiful Carol singing, festive refreshments and the chance to meet Santa in his grotto.

Reindeer Dash 2015
After the success of our first Reindeer Dash, it is back for its second year. Take a 'dash' around Colchester Castle Park in your reindeer antlers and noses. This is a family-friendly event to get you ready for Christmas where you can even meet Father Christmas himself.

Rapunzel
This Christmas it's time to let your hair down and join the fun in our all-new production of 'Rapunzel' at the Victoria Hall Theatre, Old Harlow.
This re-imagining of the original Brother Grimm fairy tale has all the best traditions of our highly praised previous Christmas productions, but with a new tangled twist and written especially for the whole family to enjoy. Rapunzel, kidnapped as a child by the wicked witch Gothel, is freed from her tower prison, by the handsome Prince who promises to show her the world. Their plans change when Gothel finds out and banishes Rapunzel to the Land of Eternal Winter. The Prince, his page Brian, and Rapunzel's friend Pandora (the cat), ever pursued by the witch's Goblins, set off on an adventure to find her once again.
This year's production will run from the 17th until 27th December, with tickets on sale via www.ticketsource.co.uk/victoriahalltheatre.
