The Clavering Arts & Craft Show
Original Art will be exhibited and available to purchase in the main hall from Saturday 4th April to Monday 6th April 2015 from 11am to 5pm.
The Craft Marquee Saturday 4th April 11am - 5pm for the first time this year we will be hosting a Producers Village. Meet traditional farmers, kitchen table bakers, artisan chocolatiers, brewers and wine makers, and of course, sample their delicious offerings before you buy them to take home, perfect preparation for an indulgent Easter Sunday.
Sunday 5th April to Monday 6th April 11am - 5pm we will be celebrating the wonderful variety of makers, crafters, designers and producers that our area has to offer from companies that cannot be found on the high street. We believe that handmade items are keepsakes that should be treasured year after year and that the quality of craftsmanship is truly invaluable. There will also be an Easter egg hunt and other activities held for the children over the weekend, more details to follow.

The Essex Craft & Design Show
The Essex Craft & Design Show returns to RHS Garden Hyde Hall for its sixth year in 2015.
The show is gaining popularity with exhibitors and the public due to the quality of the work on show and the beautiful venue. Over forty artists, craftspeople and designer makers will be showcasing and selling fine art, photography, jewellery, ceramics, textiles and many more contemporary crafts. With this show taking place in the height of summer this will give you a chance not only to see some fantastic arts and crafts but also to see Hyde Hall in its full bloom. The admission price includes both entry to our show and the gardens.

Steam Day & Garden Show
The Museum of Power will be running its first ever garden show on Sunday the 3rd of May. 'Marshall' our huge triple expansion pumping engine will be running and we will have some lovely old engines on show too. There will be plant and craft stalls, and educational displays, plus a look back into history with a large display of heritage horticultural equipment. During the day there will be a programme of horticultural talks by speakers from local societies, as well as a display of art works by local artists featuring flowers and gardens. Bring the kids along to participate in our 'Get Growing' garden craft activities and sunflower growing competition as well as to see our 'Astaria' Model Village. The Steam Pump Tea Room will be open as usual and in May we also have a lovely big show of bluebells around the museum grounds!

The Weald Country & Craft Show
The Weald Country and Craft Show is back again this year in its fifth year and is set to be even bigger and better. We have two Countryside rings with so many fabulous attractions from the Galloping Acrobatics, The Stunt Monkey Motorbike Stunt Team, Carriage Racing, Falconry, Harvey's Shire Horses, Sheep Racing, Team Kinetix from Britains Got Talent, a large free children's activities area from Punch and Judy, Storytelling, Magic Shows, Gemma's Petting Zoo, Amazing Reptiles amongst a lot more. There will be Cookery Demonstrations and a fabulous talk area. New to the Show this year is our Festivals of Dogs with five rings. Great Bardfield Village Garage Sale
Everyone is welcome to join us in Great Bardfield for our annual village garage sale.
The garage sale will be held on Saturday 9th May 2015 from 12 noon onwards. Last year there were 89 houses taking part, selling a huge variety of items. You could even buy the kitchen sink! Parking and refreshments are available. Temple at War Military Show
Temple at War is a brand new two day Military and Vintage Show based in the South East of England.
This unique experience will be the biggest indoor and outdoor Military Event in Essex to combine Living History Groups and the General Public. Showcasing the past 100 years of Military History, Temple at War will provide Family Entertainment, Activity and Education against the outstanding backdrop of Cressing Temple Barns, Braintree, Essex.
Visitors to The Show will experience a true taste of the past as Living History Opportunities covering WW1, WW2 and the Cold War era will be revealed and provide your family with a truly memorable day out. Magna Carta Celebration Event
To commemorate 800 years since the sealing of the Magna Carta, and the close involvement with the rebel Barons of Robert de Vere, third Earl of Oxford and Lord of Hedingham Castle, we will be staging a spectacular day full of history, rebellion and battles! Knights on horseback, close quarter fighting, excommunications! Amongst all the action, the inner bailey surrounding the castle will be a medieval camp-site giving an insight into the lives of ordinary people, traders and craftsmen. Food stalls aplenty! Fascinating Guided Tours of the Norman Keep! And Riotous Assembly provide a musical documentary! History Happening!

Little Waltham Open Gardens for Farleigh Hospice
This pretty village on the outskirts of Chelmsford will be opening its gates to a wide range of garden experiences. Many of the villagers are giving their support and including their gardens in the tour. In the heart of the village 'Cairnsworths', our new village tea room/delicatessen, will be offering refreshments. Saturday 20th is the day of the Little Waltham School Fete and at 142 The Street will be a cake stall and craft stalls in the marquee, so a visit to the village will offer a wide range of activities for you to come and enjoy.
Gardens will be open from 11am to 5pm.
Entry to all the gardens is by programme with map of participating gardens, £4.50 per person (under 16s free when accompanied by an adult).

European Woodworking Show 2015
Welcome to the 6th European Woodworking Show (EWS 2015) at Cressing Temple Barns, Essex. The show is a mix of woodworking demonstrations backed by trade stands. The focus is primarily on hand tool skills although some small workshop machinery will also be on sale at the show. This historic venue is an attraction in itself and with good quality food & drink outlets dotted throughout the site for visitors to enjoy. EWS 2015 boasts the widest range of demonstrators to be found at any woodworking show in Europe. So if your interest is woodworking then come along to the show. Most visitors enjoy a full day (or even 2) as there is a lot to see as well as competitions to enter and judge, master-classes and timed demonstrations to attend, story telling for the youngsters, things to try and things to buy. We hope to see you at EWS 2015.

The Essex Craft & Design Show
The Essex Craft & Design Show will be hosting its annual event at Cressing Temple barns at the end of September.
Craftsmen and designer makers will be showcasing and selling their work which will include fine art, photography, jewellery, ceramics and many other contemporary crafts. Not only is this an opportunity to view and buy work direct from the craftsman or designer maker, it is also a chance to visit these wonderful 13th century barns. The admission also includes entrance to the barns, grounds and Tudor walled gardens.

We are Handmade Contemporary Christmas Craft and Design Fair
This Fair is an 'early bird' Christmas Craft and Design fair featuring over 30 makers and artists selling the latest in contemporary and vintage inspired items. This will be the ideal opportunity for shoppers to find those special gifts for loved ones this Christmas.
This event showcases quality handmade crafts, with stallholders selling a range of items to suit all pockets. Stallholders include Capricorn Crafts, makers of wooden toys and gifts; Honeybee Soaps and Scrubs; Glass 'n' Gems; Peter Deans Ceramics and Barbara Russell Antique Bead Jewellery. In addition to selling her work, you can also see artist Julia Tanner painting at her stall.
Visitors can sit down and enjoy some delicious home-made cakes with a cup of tea, all served in lovely vintage style crockery, courtesy of Plum Fairy who will be running the tearoom.
