Why not come along for a fright at Colchester Zoo’s Shriek Week this Halloween?

From the 22nd to 31st October Colchester Zoo will be hosting its forever popular Shriek Week where you can enjoy plenty of spook-tacular fun during the October half-term! Get stuck into halloween crafts, take a walk through the spine-chilling Chamber of Nightmares and enjoy a number of spooky themed displays and activities taking place throughout the day!


For those that dare to stay after dark for our late night openings on the 25th, 27th, 29th and 31st October, why not take a ride aboard the infamous spooky road train, visit the haunted ruins of the All Saint's Church, take a late night walk through the Chamber of Nightmares and enjoy a host of late night animal feeds and scarily themed displays! You can enjoy all our additional events until 9.00pm during Shriek Week late nights.

Competition Now Closed
Colchester Zoo in association with Essex Tourist Guide, are giving away a family ticket for two adults and two children in our free to enter competition.
