Partially surrounded by a moat, Prested Hall offers 15th and 18th century interiors, stunning Art Nouveau decor and elegant 1930s extensions.

With 14 attractive en suite rooms and an additional 6 one and two-bedroom serviced apartments (please see our separate listing for 'Peresteda Apartments'), an adjacent health club and established events facilities, the owners of Prested Hall have attempted to create a place of quality, where comfort, style and relaxation exist without cold formality.

Hotel guests will find helpful staff and attention to detail, with fresh flowers throughout the house, along with books to browse through, DVDs to borrow, real coffee in the rooms, breakfast house specials and, always, the pleasure of being away from city stress amid beautiful surroundings. Whether you are with us for a break, a celebration or a conference, you will find modern comfort and quality, elegant period features, views over the Essex countryside and good old-fashioned service. The Hall is ideally situated just off the A12, south of Colchester, half an hour from Stansted Airport and 5 minutes from Kelvedon Railway Station with direct trains to London.

Weddings
There's something truly romantic about this part-moated 15th century manor house and its mature trees, tranquil setting, and bridge leading over the moat into the fields beyond. The little gazebo at the end of the bridge offers the perfect backdrop for memorable wedding photos. Wedding couples have exclusive use of The Hall with its 12 lovely bedrooms so they can stay overnight with immediate friends and family. The handsome reception areas include The Oak Room (an 18th century room with a magnificent fire place and stained glass windows), The Garden Room (a 1930s' former ballroom), the elegant large Orangery overlooking the moat, and a marquee in summer. All three rooms are licensed for civil ceremonies as well as the gazebo outside. The Dingle, a former chapel, is a luxurious bridal suite for couples preferring to stay just a stroll from The Hall. Once the partying is over, Prested couples can retire for the night and join their house guests for a leisurely breakfast the next morning before driving off under the trees to their new life together.

Health Club & Spa
Just a stone's throw away from the Hall is Prested's Spa and Health Club. With impressive fitness, health and beauty departments, there is something to suit everyone's needs. A state of the art Pulsefitness gym with 40 stations, both lawn and real tennis courts, a 20x12m pool with a sauna and steam room and an Elemis Spa are some of the fabulous facilities. Resident guests at Prested Hall also receive a 20% discount on treatments booked in our Elemis Spa.

Conferences
Apart from its convenience, Prested is truly away from it all down a long tree-lined avenue in extensive parkland, allowing for a tranquil space for colleagues needing to focus on work issues away from the office. With a choice of elegant function rooms we can cater for 2 - 150 delegates. The whole house is also available for business retreats.
