Welcome to Prested Hall....

Prested Hall is a comfortable, listed privately owned country house hotel. It has 11 lovely ensuite rooms, as well as conference and function facilities, and an adjacent health club.

Hidden discreetly in 75 acres of Essex parkland, it is conveniently located just off the A12, a mile from Kelvedon Station and 30 mins from Stansted Airport. The Hall was discovered in a near derelict state by the current owners in 1994, and, following many years of restoration, has been given a new lease of life.

Hotel accommodation can be booked for overnight stays, for day or residential functions, or the whole house is available for exclusive hire.
Prested is a perfect choice for conferences, corporate retreats, residential courses, weddings, naming ceremonies, anniversaries, retirement, christmas, house parties and other gatherings.

The extensive grounds are available to trainers and course leaders for team-building events and for specialist outdoor activities.

Dining
Come and enjoy a delicious dinner in in a truly relaxing atmosphere.

Diners at Prested will notice an emphasis on innovative, locally sourced food at affordable prices, delivered with the friendliest of service in an informal and beautiful setting. Our menu includes Inventive vegetarian dishes, fresh fish, local meats and game when in season.

If you have a favourite dish, just let us know in advance and our chef will be happy place it on the menu for your visit. Similarly, we ask you to let us know if you have any special dietary requirements so that we can prepare something tasty for you.

When making your reservation, please let us know if you would prefer to dine in the hall, outside on the terrace or next to the moat. You can even dine in your own private gazebo on the moat bridge.

Private Dining is also available at Prested Hall for family gatherings, celebrations and corporate events
Civil ceremonies
The ballroom, dining room, orangery and gazebo at Prested are all licensed for civil ceremonies. The ballroom seats 65 and the dining room 48. Both rooms are handsome and very different - the choice is yours.

Business
Prested Hall is ideally situated just off the A12, south of Colchester, half an hour from Stansted Airport and 5 minutes from Kelvedon Railway Station. There is plenty of landing space for business visitors travelling by helicopter.

Apart from its convenience, Prested is truly “away from it all”, down a long tree-lined avenue in extensive parkland, allowing for a tranquil space for colleagues needing to focus on work issues away from the office.

The Hall has been lovingly and sympathetically restored and boasts several handsome panelled reception rooms full of character and charm.

For delegates visiting from outside the area, Prested has 10 beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms, all with interesting antique features.
