Carpenters Farm and the Farm Shop is owned and run by the Morton Family. Husband & wife team, David & Fiona, run the farm & shop, taking over from David's parents Peter & Mary Morton who have many years of farming & catering experience between them.

David has worked on the farm for 20 years since leaving Writtle Agricultural College and is the fourth generation of the family to farm here.

Fiona, previously a qualified staff nurse, combines running the farm shop with raising the couple's four children.

The farm incorporates 137 acres of prime arable farmland growing Potatoes, Wheat, Barley, Strawberries, Raspberries,Gooseberries, Red gooseberries, Asparagus & Christmas trees. Newly established Blackcurrants , plums and greengages ready to crop in 2011
