Brentwood Goes Bollywood for the Grand Opening of Headley Spice

Lauren Goodger wowed the crowds for the grand launch of Brentwood's newest Indian restaurant, Headley Spice, on Monday 14th November.

'The Only Way Is Essex' star was transformed into a Bollywood Princess working with top stylists in the fashion industry to create her glamorous look. Also attending on the night was the Mayoress of Brentwood Joan Holmes along with local councillors for the local Warley ward, David Tee, William Lloyd and Janet Pound.

Commenting on the opening, Lauren who attended with her fellow TOWIE star and sister Nicola Goodger said:

"I absolutely love Indian cuisine and to have a fantastic new restaurant like Headley Spice opening round the corner from me is a dream come true. The restaurant serves incredible food and Faruk Kamali’s hospitality is second to none. I know where I'll be bringing the family when I want to spice things up!"

Lauren chose a stunning mint corset and sari with pearl embroidery, created especially for the occasion by Birmingham based bespoke designer Sati. Styling was looked after by Essex based celebrity makeup artist Aysha, who has also worked with Model Sophie Anderton, TV Presenter Lizzy Cundy, Daybreak’s favourite news presenter Tasmin Lucia Khan and Actress Meera Syal.

Speaking about her transformation into a Bollywood Princess Lauren added:

"Us Essex girls love to dress up- so looking like a Bollywood Princess was a dream come true. Sati's design was glamorous, elegant and sari's make you feel sexy."

Entrepreneur, Faruk Kamali, owner of Headley Spice has overseen the transformation of the former Headley Arms, bringing in a style that oozes West London chic with Essex glamour. He said:

"I knew from when I purchased Headley Arms back in May that we had a big project on our hands. I know how popular Headley Arms used to be amongst the locals, but I wanted to create a unique restaurant that retained the special community spirit people in Brentwood are known for."

The swanky venue is designed with cosy leather seating areas, serene water features and high tech LED lighting throughout, giving customers a cosy and contemporary feel when dining at the exclusive new Indian. On the evening guests dined with an array of signature dishes from Tikka Paneer, Chicken Lazatdar, Lamb Laziz, Chilli Begum and Hara Shobzi.

With over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Kamali sure knows his stuff. And with an impressive celebrity clientele, Essex's own Lauren Goodger tops the list.
