Essex is full of beautiful women, grand mansions and fast cars and now with the opening of the exclusive Indian restaurant and lounge Headley Spice in Brentwood, one of the most famous regions in Britain is set to become even more ‘hotter’.

Doors opened to the restaurant on Thursday 10th October, with the Grand Launch on the evening of Monday 14th November. The eagerly anticipated opening of the Headley Spice was celebrated by one of Essex’s famous faces, Lauren Goodger. The star of the hit reality show, The Only Way Is Essex, was there on the night to exclusively launch the new 120 seat restaurant, which is set to take Essex by storm.

At the site of the former popular Headley Arms, the owners of the Headley Spice have resurrected, renovated and reinvigorated the building to bring a unique and exciting offering of traditional Indian cuisine managed by entrepreneur and high-profile Businessman Faruk Kamali.

With over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Kamali has served up dishes to a whole host of celebrities from Jennifer Ellison, Leilani, Chantelle Houghton, Michelle Heaton, Jeff Brazier and boyband Blue amongst others. One special order saw him fly over food to none other than the ultimate Playboy, Hugh Hefner. Owner of Marco Polo in Wickford, Simla in Hullbridge and Bengal Quay in Canary Wharf, this is Kamali’s fourth venture to add to his ever impressive portfolio. Speaking ahead of the launch of Headley Spice, he says:

“I am looking forward to be able to showcase my dishes to the people of Essex. Most of the locals have probably not tried authentic Indian cuisine, but I am positive that once they visit Headley Spice, they will love the food. We have cooked for celebrities all over the world, including Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion, but I think catering for Lauren Goodger, a true Essex girl who’s popular locally and across the country, will be a fantastic experience.”

The Headley Spice dining area has been specially designed to cater for couples and groups alike, with large booths and comfortable leather seating across the restaurant. The lounge provides an escape from the crowds, an ideal sanctuary to wind down with friends and enjoy the drinks from the bar. Boasting a 100 space car park, this popular Brentwood escape will be the perfect venue to cater for the Essex locals, as well as those from across London and the south-east.
