A host of British & Global Stars announced for the 2011 English Heritage Picnic Concerts.

A truly independent boutique festival run by the Brown family on their farm in Essex. The quirky festival started as an over grown family party. Now it’s bigger, showcasing a line up that would make comparative festival giants peep over the hedge!

Cambridge Chorale bring the delights of Royal Wedding composer Paul Mealor to the stunning setting of St Mary’s Church, Saffron Walden on July 9th.

As well as being the oldest recorded town in the British Isles, Colchester has long been the capital of Essex for a good night out on the town.

With Cinemas, Theatres, Comedy and Music Venues a plenty, if you are searching for Entertainment in Essex you will not be disappointed.

There is a great number of comedy events held every month across Essex. Well known stand up comedians that have a wealth of TV and radio work can be found performing across the county.

Essex has a vibrant music scene that covers many tastes if you know where to look. Often though it can be hard to unearth the live music events that may be of interest.

Essex has some fantastic theatre and art centre venues that attract some of the very best touring productions and are home to some superb in-house acting companies.

The Globe Theatre returns to Hedingham Castle with a raw, thrillingly elemental production of this inexhaustible play, widely acclaimed in 2011 both on tour and at the Globe. Sunday 29th & Monday 30th July 2012

When I was growing up the highlight of the year was the Brentwood Tattoo. So, between me and my mate Jason, we have organised an event which will bring back that community atmosphere in Brentwood!

It started as a 6 week challenge to see if the people of Witham could really form a choir and sing at the Carnival last July… over 6 months later ‘Witham’s BIG Sing’ has grown so much that they are now preparing for their first BIG Sing LIVE concert ...
