Sunday 30th & Bank Holiday Monday 31st May 2010Festival of the Air - Southend Air Show2010 will be the 25th year that Southend-on-Sea has staged one of Europe's largest free Airshows. The two day Southend Festival of the Air is undoubtedly the most spectacular event in Southend's calendar.Staged against the backdrop of the Thames Estuary along almost 2 miles of seafront, over 40 aircraft displays will be featured from across the ages.
We've also provided a huge range of ground entertainment back on terra firma. There will be the RAF, Army, Navy and Royal Marine Town Shows, trade stands, rides, simulators, giant inflatable's and a packed arena programme of entertainment, to keep all of the family amused all day long.
BBC Essex will again be bringing you Radio Airshow on 1530MW, as well as providing the live commentary along the seafront, and Southend Radio and Heart FM will be providing live entertainment both days with music Roadshows.

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th August 2010The Essex Military Vehicle and Aircraft ShowFollowing the tremendous success of last year’s show the Essex Classic Military Vehicle and Aircraft Show will once again be held at the impressive Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Upminster, Essex. Damyns Hall is one of the few airfields in Britain that is located within the M25 and is less than two miles from the wartime airfield of RAF Hornchurch.
Over the course of the weekend the 1940’s will be revisited with displays of three life-size replica Spitfires, over 250 vintage military vehicles, an armoured vehicle parade, and for the first time since the war an example of every military vehicle that was produced locally at Fords Dagenham plant will be reunited. There will also be dazzling aircraft fly-over's including a WW2 Spitfire, a Messerschmitt 108, and a breathtaking wing-walking display on a 1930’s Boeing Stearman Biplane. There will also be an opportunity to meet over 50 living history groups, creating an exceptional atmosphere at this memorable event.

Thursday 26th & Friday 27th August 2010Clacton Air Show 20102010 see's the 19th year of the Clacton Air Show. Organised by Tendring District Council, the show is a well-established event which reached record crowds in 2009 of an estimated 140,000 visitors over the two days.
While most eyes will be looking to the skies for air displays there will be a whole host of on-site catering, trade stands and entertainment at ground level stretching along the show site on Clacton's seafront.
Each day will have a full flying programme which in previous years has included the world famous Red Arrows, Harrier, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Guinot Wingwalkers, as well as other spectacular craft.
